Newly planned for September 2025 delivery. All lessons are planned for non-specialist delivery, and we have moved towards booklet delivery. Lessons are 60 minutes long, and this bundle is for a lesson once a fortnight. Everything is completely editable. Each lesson starts with a retrieval grid, followed by teacher input and practice tasks. There is frequent use of mini whiteboards, and students complete all written tasks in their booklet. Resources are in the booklet so once it is printed there is no additional work required.
One lesson is a reflection on an assembly. Our students will sit in a 30 minute assembly delivered by The Alice Ruggles Trust (free of charge, worth looking into!), the powerpoint is just to support staff if the assembly is shorter than expected and they need to return to lesson for 15 mins or so. Lesson 4- Unifrog, in the booklet, is linked to careers so I cannot add that.

GCSE AQA Citizenship
Active Citizenship
This is a student booklet to guide Year 10 students who complete their active citizenship campaign at the end of Year 10 (May-July). This booklet helps them to formulate their plan, conduct research and supports planning of some set action tasks. I make all my students conduct secondary research, a primary research questionnaire, they write a letter and they must create a poster. There is space in the booklet to map all of these tasks, with teacher models. There is also an ideas box on the first page of previous campaigns that students have done to help them.
The booklet is helpful for them to save, for Y11 when revising these sections of the exam.
Would be suitable for a #PSHE #wholeschoolproject #projectwork also. And can be adapted to suit any exam board. Word document so completely editable.
Please review if you download.
AQA GCSE Citizenship- Topic 2- Rights & Responsibilities.
Lessons are planned to be delivered by non-specialists, they do not require any textbooks. Lessons are planned for 60 minutes unless stated in the description below. They incorporate a retrieval grid, teacher input, and a practice task that links to either direct exam questions, or practicing an exam based skill.
Lesson 8: Looks at Jury selection. From what a Jury summons is, to the role and expectations of a Jury. It also looks at the advantages and disadvantages of jury trials. The class are then split into teams of 12 and take on the role of a jury member, they select who they want to be and have to provide reasons as to why they are disregarding 8 of the selection. They are given an “evidence” file and they have to reach a unanimous decision on if the defendant is guilty or not. Students then complete a write up task to reflect on the jury process. When taught, this took me a double lesson (2 hours) rather than the 1 hour I had planned, simply because my class are very keen and had a lot of debates in the simulation task.
